about the blogger:

Antoinette Delos Santos
Konnichiwazzap readers!! let's me introduce myself I'm Antoinette Delos Santos 17 years old. I live in Angeles city, I have older brother, he is a college student. I am studying at Jocson College, my hobbies are playing sports, playing online games, reading books, watching anime, and doing arts like drawing, painting, and sculpting. I'm currently a senior high school student strand ABM. I love art because I can express myself through it. I inherited it from my mother, When I was younger I often see my mom draw something when she’s bored, actually most of my family really love art some of them do painting and some do drawing.

As a person who loves are just like other people I also encountered rude people. Environment helps me to become the better me, good  example is the people around me that supports and encourage me, telling me that it’s alright to lose because that's part of the challenge. I joined in many art contest in school but as a beginner I do fail and I often make a mistake but then I continued until one day I finally won. I never gave up on the things that I love to do because there are people who support me and believe in me that I can succeed, environment play a role of a guide to me, I see people who love to do the same thing even though they have disability, environment serves as my inspiration.

The Philippines And Its Culture

The Philippines is an archipelagic country in Southeast Asia. Situated in the western Pacific Ocean, it consists of about 7,641 islands and 81 provinces that are broadly categorized under three main geographical divisions from north to south: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Philippines have a very different culture than the other countries, though they say we are Asia, but when it come to beliefs, culture, and tradition it's different. People develop particular ways of looking at one's culture and that of other. These includes Ethnocentrism, Culture Shock, Xenocentrism, and Culture Relativism.
These are the following examples:

Xenocentrism
Filipino loves Korean culture from k-pop to k-drama. Nowadays mostly the Mellenials  loves Korea more than their own country, just like in music, they prefer music of Korean instead of OPM, they also like Korean idols but they cannot even support their own country. Another example is the anime from japan, anime is part of Filipino childhood, but they prefer Japanese anime instead of Filipino made anime.

Ethnocentrism
As for other country it's like a tradition to them that if you turn 18 you have to separate with your parents, but here in the Philippines they live with their parents no matter what their age is. Filipino only separate with their parents when they already their own family, but most of the Filipino still stay with their parents even if they already have family.

Culture Relativism
Philippines have their own beliefs and culture, example of their belief is they worshipping God, creatures, and spirit. Filipino go to church every friday or sunday to thank God, which is different from other countries, but foreign people respect that belief of Filipino, because they understand their differences. Filipino culture, they are religious, Filipino loves to party, and one of the craziest culture is they considered to have the longest Christmas that start with September 1 and ends with December 25. Foreign people think that it’s crazy but they also respect that culture and they just go along with it, because as they say that It’s more fun in the Philippines, not only the people but also their culture.

Culture shock
One example of culture shock is the tourist, as they visit the Philippines they may encounter different way of greetings, like for example when an older Filipino person called the tourist they sometimes say “anak” which mean my son/daughter, calling tourists those nicknames is normal for Filipino as a sign of welcoming everyone. Another example is eating with hands or “kamayan”, unlike in other countries they use spoon or fork but in the Philippines is like a traditional to eating with hand especially in fest. Boodle fight is one the example of kamayan.
